I am an attorney from Southern California. I have always been interested in gambling, but was not content risking money based on non-predictive intuitions or gut feelings. In my down time during law school, I began reading everything I could about sports betting, model-building, and Sabermetrics. After countless hours tinkering in Excel and attempting to put into practice the research done by Sabermetricians like Mitchel Lichtman, Tom Tango, and Colin Wyers, I had finally created my first model. The model behind this site today is much more sophisticated than that prototype, but it is very far from perfect.
